Seligpreisung is an album from the experimental German band Popol Vuh, released in 1973. Our
redesign draws heavily on the natural world and Christian imagery to match the Biblical passages referenced in the album's name and song lyrics.
The album and CD cases are held together with magnets. The album folds out to reveal a scene of worship and nature.
The circular elements are particularly well suited to appear on the CD and vinyl record as well.
Process Work
The circular scene was constructed as a diorama with five layers of imagery. The resulting photograph maintains a sense of depth.
